Hi, Any chance of making the 7.06 bus a 7.15 bus? I just think that it would give a little extra time to people on this bus to get to the stop on time, and it should stil have all in town before 8am (which I imagine is the start time for most people on this bus).

Also is there any further talk of running the bus through Holywell to get onto the M1? I was at a residents association meeting last night, and it was mentioned that you had expressed an interest in going through the estate? I know licensing was an issue, but what you could do to include Holywell in the route would be to stop at all stops as normal, and then at the Airport Roundabout (the one before the Coachman’s Inn), the bus could perhaps turn around and go back up through Airside and onto the M1 there, but stopping at the bus stop on the dual carriageway in Holywell before getting on? Even if the first bus of the hour did this (7.06, 8.00, 9.00am etc), at least there would be some service through the estate then, and with 1000 units now occupied there, there is plenty of demand from residents. I appreciate any feedback, thanks

    Hi,
First of all great to see competition on routes from Swords.
I’ve taken Swords Express out from city centre once before and was impressed.
My request & questions are as follows:-
I see that the route lists “East Wall Road” as a stop on the way out from the city centre to Swords but not on the way in. Is this a mistake?
I line on the Ridgewood Estate and work in East Point Business Park and it would be great if the coach could stop as soon as possible before and after leaving the tunnel.
If East Wall Road isn’t a scheduled stop on the way in, can I ask the driver to stop there anyway?
It would be great if an East Point Business Park stop could be introduced - it would just need to be a stop immediately after/before the tunnel entrance so that people could walk in to the park through the back gate.
Also, is it possible to have a folding bike stowed in the luggage compartment of the bus? That is, is it a problem for the driver to be getting out and opening it at various stops? If this is a problem, can a folded bike be brought onto the bus?
I am currently working form home this morning and am trying to work how I will get into work this afternoon. Swords Express would be ideal if I can do this and get off at a point reasonably close to East Point Business park.
Thanks in advance for your response.

Why not just definitively update the actual timetable, instead of posting constant amendments on the home page?

Yes, we want to go past Holywell. As well as linking Holywell to the city, we would hope to provide a regular link to Swords Village itself. The issue now is the licence. There is some service from DB though along that road.

The reason the 7.06 has to go that bit earlier is that it has to be back in Swords for 8.15 or so, to bring another group back to the city.

I am looking to buy a property in Holywell and I work in the city centre with an 8am start, I would be much more eager to buy in Holywell if the Swords express would go through it, think how much money you’d make!

p.s. I work in customer experience and I am really impressed at your forum and how quickly you come back to your customers. Just hope that you use this feedback to provide a great service from Holywell now!!

hi all i think ur bus service is brill is there any chance of looking at puting on a bus earlyer in the morning from swords there is a lot of people leave at six from the star the problem with dublin bus is having to go throw the airport it takes one hour to get to town i think it would be a good move keep up the good work it is what swords was crying out for.

  7. Claire Says:

    Hi
Delighted with the service but just a couple of things.
I was waiting for the 5.05 on wednesday, it didnt arrive until 5.13. This was disappointing, my biggest concern was that on turning the corner at drynam road to head for pavillions the driver answered his mobile and nearly crashed into another car, he slammed on the breaks.Drivers should be using hands free. Lastly Yesterday I left work early to catch 5.45 and the driver pulled off at 4.43, this is really bad, I can understand lateness because of traffic but not leaving early.

    Thank you

Hi I just want to say how great your service is to and from the City to Swords, I have found no problem’s with the service but then I am an OAP and I do not have to go to work anymore, other people seem to have problems, your staff are always in good form, and your busses are so comfortable. Keep up the good work.

    Regard’s.

    hi,
any news on getting a service from the city between the hours of 16.00 and 16.45. I sometimes finish work at 4 and that means waiting around for almost 3/4 of an hour! I have an annual ticket so i would be reluctant to use db.Any news on the applewood route and would it be stopping anywhere on the Balheary road?

  10. HJS Says:

    Hi,
Great service. What concessions are available to OAP’s like myself?

Out of convienience, i convinced my daughter to get the Swoards Express on Saturday morning at 9:30, this was only because i didn’ want to drive to Malahide for the DART, unfortunitly the express was late and she didn’t get into town until 10:10 - thanks Swords Express, now i am going to have to drive to malahide every saturday :(

Anyway - I think its a great service and i will continue to use it :) - keep up the good work !

    hi,
just wondering if u are going to go through holywell have a baby&its a long trek down to the bus stop…

  13. Declan Says:

Hi,I think the service is spot on.No need to amend this route with other stops etc..Lenghtening the route or extra stops would only take the good out of the service to the city which is the main attraction to most commuters. The whole point of this bus is to make the Swords-City commute as quick and comfortable as possible. If others want other stops and longer routes then go to dublin bus!!!Others should stop harping on about introducing more stops/longer routes for THEIR own benefit. This service is excellent the way it is,the bus drivers are friendly and the service is very reliable.Thank you for this service ::))

  14. admin Says:

Just to clarify - we offer free travel for OAPs.

Changes to the route won’t really result in a longer trip for people on the current route. Maybe a minute, but that’d be about it.

We now have a service at 1630.

I take the swords express every time i go into town and i find it great!!! it’s very quick and the bus is clean and comfy and ok sometimes it is late but it is worth it! It is great value at the weekends and it saves you money because you can take the swords express into town for less than driving into town parking and paying loads!!!I think it is great!

  16. david Says:

can u make a 10 journey ticket for kids for 15 euro instead of paying 20 like u do with the adults 35 instead of 40
