Hi
How much will a trip from Swords to town cost?
Pat.

Hi
I notice you have no bulk ticket purchase discount. Do you have a plan for 10 journey ticket etc? Surely this would lead to quicker load times on the bus if people do not have to tender money for each journey.
David

A trip will be €3.

10-journey tickets are just not all that quick. They introduce a lot of extra bureaucracy and cause delays if you sell them on the bus. If we sell them in a shop, it’s a lot of trouble to manage the inventory and it’s costly to pay the commission to the seller. We are also waiting for the Rail Procurement Agency to come up with a scheme for an integrated ticket which would make this all a bit more straightforward.
We will be offering a taxsaver ticket. The thing about this is that it effectively allows you to get your ticket for 47 percent off the price through the tax saving, and your employer saves a further 10 percent in PRSI. We haven’t concluded pricing yet, but if you travelled with us more than 400 times a year you’d be travelling for less than 1 euro per journey. If you are interested in a taxsaver ticket, email feedback@swordsexpress.com and we will let you know when they are available.
Best,
antoin.

Hi,
I’m wondering if you have plans to extend the service to outlying high density population centres of Swords e.g. AppleWood Village - which is a 20 minute walk to the Pavillions departure point thus negating the benefit of the faster travel time via the port tunnel. I’m sure you’d have no problem filling a route from AppleWood out onto the M1 via the Estuary roundabout and on to tunnel. Any plans for this for the future ? Thanks for your efforts…

is this service wheelchair accessable?
November 19th, 2007 at 1:33 pm
Any plans for a park & ride facility in Swords?
November 19th, 2007 at 4:15 pm
Best of Luck in the new venture.

If a park&ride facility was in place, I would definately use this service.

I got it this morning after my 9am Dublin Bus didn’t turn up (again). I walked out onto the main road and got the 9.43am Swords Express, it got me into town in less than 20 minutes and it drops me off nearer to my job!! brilliant survice, I hope more people start using it!

Hi - I just heard about this new service yesterday. its great news! like other queries i was wondering if there is there any chance that this service will be extended to the residential areas of swords. or even a park and ride facility like someone suggested. something like this has been long awaited. well done and all the best for the future.

Ive a good idea. Swords express will have 2 shuttle buses picking up around the various estates in swords and dropping them off at the main terminus. Flat fare for shuttle and express bus combined at E3.50.

Congratulations - a great idea! Best of luck in providing a much needed service for the people of Swords.
Now the only thing that’s missing is a theme tune. I suggest you commission Neil Hannon of Divine Comedy to write it.

Hi,
do you have any plans to start the route from Applewood? I’d safely say that anyone who gets the 41X would get the Swords Express if it ran from Appleowwd area. Nothing express about the 41X…
I’ve love to use it everyday but it’s a 30 min walk down to and from Pennys.
Cheers,
Stephen

Hi,
You could make it a bit easier to find the timetable by putting the link on the top right hand side of the site near the Home, About swords express, fares + tickets, route links.

I am a web developer and i’ve spent the last 15 mins trying to find your timetable. Where is it?
You need to hire someone to design your website.
Timetables, Maps etc

Hi….
Great bus…… but why is the timetable a secret?
We live in Swords and never received a timetable through the door, nor did most people I’ve asked. I’ve scanned this site so many times and still no sign of a timetable…
Do you not want people to know when the bus is running by keeping the times secret?
I’ve asked the bus drivers on numerous occassions and they have always ‘just run out’.
Thanks

Where on the site can I find the time table please.
January 21st, 2008 at 11:16 pm
I can’t fault your service in the morning but in the evening your buses never seem to run on schedule. Today no bus left Eden Quay at 17:56 or 18:27. I got to Eden quay at 17:53 and waited until 18:35 for a bus to come which left at 18:40. I should have taken the 41x just after 6 and I would have been home for 18:40. There have been many nights like this.

Hi,
I think your service is wonderful. I am getting into work nearly 1hr earlier now, since I started using your serivce.
I have one negative comment to make and that is that your service often dos’nt stick to the time table leaving on the 08.09 rhis morning at 08.03 and it’s happened me in the evening also.
When i asked the driver what time the bus was he said there was a new one at 08.00 and offered me a new timetable which was the one i already had and as far as i can see there is no bus at 08.00 there is 07.53 or 08.09
Can you please ask the drivers to stick to the time table what’s the point in having it if they are leaving early or late.
Regards
Colleen Rooney

Hi,
Will you be considering extending your journey beyond the City Centre anyime soon?? Ballsbridge Area??
February 29th, 2008 at 8:13 pm
Antain
You previously told me that Fingal Co Council had told you you were not permitted to stop south of the Malahide roundabout on the Swords bypass. Well the issue has arose again with one of your drivers refusing to stop there for me. I queried this with Councillor Tom Kelleher and he has informed me Fingal Co Co does not decide where buses can or cannot stop
March 1st, 2008 at 12:26 am
Hi Fred,
Thanks for your message. The Garda has told us not to stop there, after consulting with the Council. We would be happy to discuss with Tom Kelleher.
