Linking Swords to Dublin City Centre via the Port Tunnel.

Swords Express is a proud supporter of Fingallians GAA.

We are committed to the community in which we operate and have sponsored the senior ladies team since 2019. The Fingallians club and its players make an important contribution to the community and we are delighted to lend our support to the club and the wider community of Swords.

Both Swords Express and Fingallians are well established in Swords and share the values of family and community. Swords Express, a division of Eirebus, is a third-generation family owned business. Fingallians is one of the oldest clubs in Ireland having been founded in 1884 and many local families have trained on their grounds. Both have a long history contributing to the local area and share a common goal to keep people moving whether it be through transport or sport!

The continuing partnership has increased the profile of Fingallians Senior Ladies GAA team at a crucial time when women’s sports show signs of growth and momentum. In 2019, the women’s All-Ireland finals day recorded the highest attendance to date of 56,114 spectators, an increase of 6,000 on the previous year. Campaigns such as 20×20 and Show Your Stripes, are driving women’s sport to the fore. As a female led company, Swords Express has a natural affinity with women’s sports and identified this as an great opportunity to support this important movement within the Swords community.

Sinead Kavanagh (Managing Director Eirebus) commented “We are delighted to offer our continued support to the Fingallians Ladies Football Team and to help increase visibility of females in sport as part of the 20×20 movement. We’re looking forward to a great year ahead and wish the ladies every success”.

We look forward to playing an active role in supporting the ladies again this season – on and off the pitch! #DrivingLocalSupport
