The adult fare is €4

There is a ten-journey ticket available for €35 (€3.50/journey). Ticket is valid for one month.

Off peak (08.45-15.59, after 19.00 and all weekend) fare is €3,

The fare for under 16’s is € 2.

Students of IBaT, Swords, may qualify for a discount. There is no discount for students of other colleges.

There have been problems at certain times with buses arriving on time and with shortage of seats on certain services. Timetable will be revised in the next few days to deal with this.

We’ve had serious problems with traffic the last two days, resulting in major delays on the 5.50 service and the service after it. The 5.50 service has been 20 minutes late, and as a result, a large queue has built up by the time it finally arrives.

The resolution to this is as follows:

To meet demand, we’ve added an extra bus at 8.05am tomorrow. Expect a change in timetables shortly.

Apologies to people who missed buses yesterday.

UPDATE: we now have an extra bus in the morning. From tomorrow (Thursday) we will have an extra evening bus, and we expect this to be at 5.30. Next week there will be a further change in the timetable.

After a lot of confusion and mayhem this week, we are going to be announcing a new student fare for all students next week. It will be based on a discounted 10-journey ticket. <strike>You will need to have an ISIC card from USIT to use the new fare.</strike> You will need a Student Travelcard or a USIT/ISIC student card to beneft from the new fare.

UPDATE: The new fare will be 30 euros for a ten-journey ticket for students. For an initial period until end October 2009, you wil be able to buy a 10-journey student ticket for 25 euros. This ticket will be valid at all times.

Swords Express will suspend its Sunday service after <strong>13 September 2009</strong>.  There will no further service on Sundays or bank holidays until further  notice.However, we hope to introduce a revamped Sunday service in the future.

The service on 13 September will be the last Sunday service.
