Giving that a condition of your license it to be up within 4 month since 03 October, are you planing to wait that long or are you actualy trying to get this in before Operation FreeFlow so that you can cash in on the x-mas shoppers traffic?

  2. admin Says:

    Sven,

We intend to be up and running and providing a service to the people of Swords well before that.

Do you think there will be much demand for weekend services running up to Christmas?

  3. Patricia Says:

Do you not think that by routing the bus down the quays (which are always congested) when you exit the tunnel will loose any time you make up by using the tunnel in the first place?

  4. admin Says:

Congestion is an issue wherever you go in the city. At some point we have to run along the quays to get to the centre and back, it’s unavoidable. The bus lanes do make it a bit easier. There is an alternative route from the tunnel further north, but it also falls foul of congestion. We judged that this was the best trade off between avoiding congestion and getting access.

There is talk of a Quality Bus Corridor for North Wall Quay, and this would make a big difference. You should let your local councillors and TDs know if you think this is a good idea.

    Best,

    Antoin.

Dublin Bus would have been on the road from 6am to 2330. Also with a fleet of buses that would cater for all, not Eirebus coaches.

Hi I just want to say that I am delighted by your new service from Swords to the City centre, it was
badly needed as Dublin Bus very seldom come on time and they take too long to get into town and return to Swords, also your fare is reasonable.

    Regard’s.

Hi, excellent service. Bus arrived on time outside the murphys laughter lounge the other night. Comfortable bus and home within 25mins. I did think 3euro was a bit expensive and I have a yrly commuter ticket so I am paying extra for the service but it was worth it in the end. Hoping that you will get the taxsaver scheme set up for next year as I would really like to avail of this rather then sticking with the 43/41c from Applewood. I think a lot of people have the taxsaver scheme set up with their companies and I would think you would get more business if you went down this route. Keep up the good work.

    Hi Admin,

Just started my third week of using the service. Its great to see the busses filling up however, my stop is the last pick up I think (near the texaco garage) I aim to get the 8.24 which was almost full by the time it reached Texaco this morning. No problem getting on this morning. But if that bus gets full and cannot stop at Texaco the next bus is not until 9ish which means I will be late! Any chance of running another bus (if needed of course) between 8.24 and 9?

    Thanks

how do i get a time table cant find it anywhere?

  10. Eamonn Says:

    Where’s the timetable.

  11. Bill Says:

The timetable is linked in the article above! where it says ‘PDF’.

    Dear admin,

Have you got any plans to add services from City centre to Swords between the hours of 17:00 and 18:00?

Three times last week your 17:09 and 17:26 filled up and people had to wait for the following buses. So demand is there, can you add another service between that time?
Perhaps have one leaving earlier just before 17:00 one at 17:15 and another 17:26?

    please advise
    many thanks

  13. Pamela Says:

On Friday 11th and Monday 14th the 17.09 swords express has been filled to capacity at Murphy’s laughter lounge and driven straight past the IFSC House stop leaving everyone to wait an additional 20 minutes until the next bus. Once you can excuse but twice being left to stand in the cold seems ridicules. If the service is doing so well that it fills on the first stop when can we expect extra services to deal with this demand. With the tax saver ticket I can only see it getting busier. I hate to give out as this is a great service but I think modifications are needed urgently…

  14. admin Says:

Yes, you are right, changes are needed quickly. We are working on this, to provide an extra service from the city centre before 5pm to relieve a lot of the demand.

  15. Michael Says:

Can anybody point out where the current timetable is? There have been enough changes recently to make the old pdf obsolete.

A tip for anybody who does find it. If you sync stuff up with your phone, make it a note and sync it up. It’s dead handy when you’re near the stop and need to know if you need to run or browse in the shops some more.

  16. Dave Says:

I can’t beleive you still haven’t got a clear link to the timetable on the home page. It’s the main reason someone is gonna log in. Despite other people commenting on this you have done nothing about it. It’s either stupidity or pure laziness.
