St. Patricks Day is such a big celebration and there are events organised throughout Dublin city all weekend. This has slightly impacted our service and the details are below. We will work hard to keep our service running but there may be unavoidable delays and we appreciate your patience.
Friday, 15 March 2019
The celebrations will begin with a carnival in Merrion Square and to facilitate this there will be road closures in place from 12.00. This will impact our 503 bus service that will no longer be able to collect passengers on Merrion Square but will collect at Pearse Street and Erne Street Junction at bus stop number 398. We've put together this map to using this service during the closures:
Sunday, 17 March 2019
Large crowds are expected to line the streets of Swords for the local parade. To facilitate this and for everyone's safety, there will be road closures in place and we must divert our service. View our revised route below:
Monday, 18 March 2019
We will operate a Sunday timetable.
Tuesday, 19 March 2019
Normal service will resume.
St Patrick's weekend in Dublin is expected to be super busy, so please allow extra travel time when planning your journeys with us. We recommend using Live Position to locate where the next bus is.
Wishing all our passengers a wonderful St. Patricks Day and a quick reminder that Swords Express will be driving in the Swords St. Patricks Day parade and we will have the wonderful Snowflakes Autism Support Group on board our bus so be sure to give us a wave when you see us!!
