Free Pop-Up Cookery Class

22 Mar 2019

To celebrate World Health Day 2019 and as part of our #ExpressYourself partnership with Aware, we are offering our passengers a free private cooking class in Robyns Nest Cookery School on Sunday 07 April from 16.00 to 19.00. Before signing up to attend, we ask that you read the below information so you know what to expect.

How much will this cost?

The entire hands-on cookery lesson is free. In line with our CSR commitment, we are fundraising for Aware this year and ask attendees to bring along a donation on the day that we will collect.

What’s included?

  • All ingredients
  • Aprons and utensils
  • Knowledgeable chef
  • Take away boxes for leftovers (if you have any!)
  • Great fun

Who should attend?

Regardless of whether you are starting out or have years of experience tucked into your apron, you are guaranteed to learn something new at this class.

Whatever your capability in the kitchen, you will learn how to cook tasty food that is healthy and easy to replicate when you are at home. Our chef-instructor will guide you and your fellow students in learning not just recipes, but the fundamental skills that will serve you for a lifetime of cooking.

Is there an age restriction?

All participants must be 18 years of age and older.

How many will be in the class?

As this is a hands-on class, places are limited to 14 people so be quick in booking your spot but please only do so if you are 100% committed to attending.

What will we be cooking?

The menu will be fish based and there is a vegetarian option.

What if I have a food allergy?

Cooking lessons can be tailored to dietary restrictions, please include details in your RSVP email and we will notify the chef. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class.

What do I need to bring with me?
All you have to bring along is your enthusiasm and love for food, and everything else will be provided to you. Please wear comfortable closed toe shoes. If you can, tie back your hair. Remember to bring along cash for your donation.

Why are we offering this?

This is the first of many pop-up fundraising events we will be hosting with the theme of creative expression to encourage positive mental health among our passengers while raising awareness and funds for Aware’s mental health services.

Where is this on?
