As the country prepares for a gradual easing of Covid-19 restrictions beginning on the 18th of May, we expect an increase in demand as we move through the different phases. Naturally, social distancing will continue to be challenging for transport operators and the safety and well being of passengers and employees is paramount. We will monitor demand and passenger feedback on a daily basis and adjust service levels accordingly.
We will devote 100 additional hours of internal vehicle deep cleaning and disinfecting to our weekly regime, focusing on passenger and driver touch points such as the driver console, handles, stop buttons, windows and seats. As part of the response to Covid-19 we have also introduced several additional measures including sanitisation of air-conditioning units, on board hand sanitisers and driver cleaning kits. We are installing perspex screens to limit driver/passenger contact and we will be rolling out contactless payments across the service.
We want our passengers to have confidence in our efforts to provide a safe transport service, however as an extra precaution we strongly encourage all passengers to wear a face covering as per Government guidelines.
